Authenticator App

Last updated: October 14, 2026

Authenticator App, published by Aonomy Bird(“we”, “our” or “us”), respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the information of people who install and use it. This Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, used and protected when you download, install or use Authenticator App and related services.

By using the app, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the app.

1 - Information We Collect

1.1 Personal Information

Authenticator App works without asking for personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, phone number or contact details. You do not need to create an account or submit any personal data to use the app.

1.2 Authentication Data

The app generates time-based (TOTP) and counter-based (HOTP) one-time passwords for two-factor authentication. The accounts, secret keys, one-time codes and passwords you add are stored locally on your device. Aonomy Bird does not collect, access or store your authentication codes or secret keys on external servers.

You are responsible for keeping your device secure. If you lose your device or uninstall the app, the data stored in it may not be recoverable.

1.3 Non-Personal Information

To keep the app reliable and improve its performance, limited non-personal information may be collected automatically, including:

  • Device model and manufacturer
  • Operating system version
  • App usage statistics
  • Crash reports and diagnostic information
  • Country or general region (not precise location)
  • Advertising identifiers provided by your device

This information does not personally identify you.

2 - Camera and Photos

2.1 Camera

The app requests camera access only so you can scan 2FA QR codes when adding an account. Camera images are processed on your device to read the QR code and are not stored or transmitted by us. You can deny this permission and enter the setup key manually instead.

2.2 Photos

If you choose “Upload Photo”, the app reads only the image you select in order to detect a QR code. The image is not uploaded to our servers.

3 - How We Use Information

The information collected may be used to:

  • Improve app functionality and performance
  • Identify and fix technical issues and crashes
  • Understand general usage trends
  • Improve the user experience and security features
  • Prevent fraud, misuse or unauthorized activity

We do not sell personal information to third parties.

4 - Advertising Services

Authenticator App is free to use and displays advertisements to support its features. Third-party advertising networks may collect non-personal information through cookies, device identifiers or similar technologies, in line with their own privacy policies. These include:

Google AdMob Privacy Policy — https://policies.google.com/privacy

Facebook Ads Privacy Policy — https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/

Aonomy Bird does not control how third-party advertisers manage their data. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies for details.

5 - Analytics & Performance Monitoring

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information against unauthorized access, modification or loss. Your authentication tokens and secret keys stay on your device. However, no system or online service can guarantee complete security.

Authenticator App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that such information has been collected unintentionally, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
